Hi guys,
saw the pumpkins last friday. good, but not as it could have been... the concert was a little unfocused due to useless experimentation. that is not a band anymore really. billy corgan is a great composer but he let that take him over. he sounds pretentious. somehow the magic is not there anymore. billy should set up a real band again, or assume his solo career. as a long time fan, i would be happier. anyway... songs like disarm, 1979 (played on acoustic guitar) or cherub rock still kick ass. bullet with butterfly wings was played so badly that you could not believe it... well, i enjoyed the whole thing anyway. and the open act band was amazing !!!!!! take coldplay and mix with early pink floyd... add raw fury and there you go. pretty damm good !
i am now struggling to get a ticket to see neil young in the same theater in december.
the public is very different from germany. it was a theater, everybody got their seats. as soon as the band entered everybody stood up ! that never happens in germany.
bought my first amp in the US ! a dream come true: all-tube fender deluxe reverb, 7 months of use. the thing sings ! and loud ! the first time i played it at home i got complaints from my neighbour. i definitively have to find a band to be able to crank it and make it sing properly. stay tuned !
sheila is doing fine with her english course. this month she is temporarily working as baby sitter, helping a brazilian couple who just had twins.
i am attending a 5 week course to pass a certification exam. i am kinda burning my neurones. next month i am scheduled to go to 2 customers, one in chicago and another one in mexico city. lots of trouble coming... but i will rock them all !!!!!

and the best new of this post: i will be able to spend christmas in sao paulo again. it is gonna be short but surely worthwhile.
